Meiji-mura is an open-air museum in Inuyama city near Nagoya city in Aichi Prefecture. Over 60 historical buildings were relocated to the one-square-kilometer area to preserve some of the finest examples of Japanese architectures from the Meiji period through the early Showa period. Meiji period started 150 years ago, the time when the modernization of Japan began. One of the famous buildings that incorporated Western construction methods is the Main Entrance Hall of Imperial Hotel, Tokyo designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
